Dear Sir:-

I am writing to ask you if it would be possible to obtain from you any recent maps of this country – the northern Yukon . I have an old map or two, but they are not of much use and I have been asked several times if I had such maps. A decent up-to-date map of the Arctic slope would be extremely useful here, and also if you have it, a copy of the International Boundary Survey's Report with maps of the Line. I believe this is issued in Book Form, as I have seen a copy in the Mayor's office in Dawson .

I should esteem it a great personal favor if you would send me anything at all relating to this district. I am expecting a prospecting party thro' here in the early spring en route for the Bell River , and I could probably use a good map then. Also, have you a copy of the map that Sgt Dempster made on his Patrol to Dawson last spring shewing [sic] the heads of the Black and Porcupine rivers [sic]?

Kind regards & thanking you in anticipation

Yours sincerely
