Claude inscribed this photograph: “Taken on a dull day – so the picture lacks brightness and sparkle – but it is one of the good old S.S. Yukon chugging up-stream. It was taken from the river bank directly in front of our house. There will only be about one more trip for her this season – so maybe it will be our last chance to photograph her – ever.” August 1938.
