The Bishop goes to church. 1937
Yukon Archives: #7371
The Right Reverend William A. Geddes and his wife, Beatrice Terry (who, like Mary, was a nurse) were close friends of the Tidds in Mayo, and Mary spent a Christmas with them in Vancouver 1941 while Claude was in Dawson City. Geddes arrived in the territory in 1920, and was subsequently ordained deacon and priest by Bishop Isaac Stringer. He first served among the Inuit on the Arctic coast. By the time Geddes visited the Tidds in Mayo, he had become the fourth bishop and Administrator of the Yukon Diocese. His frequent travels throughout his diocese damaged his health and led to his death in 1947.
